Brynna’s experience provided a solid foundation for Citrine & Gold, with an educational background in business and entrepreneurship from the University of Charleston, alongside hands-on experience in business management at her family’s restaurant: White Fence Farm, previously located in Lakewood, CO.

Brynna offers a unique perspective on financial services, and created Citrine & Gold to contrast traditional financial firms. Citrine & Gold is mission and values-driven. 

As a founding board member of the Queer Business Alliance 501(c)3 non-profit, Brynna demonstrates a commitment to empowering LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs and fostering diversity in the business community.

Brynna Wilson was also recognized as one of Colorado’s top young leaders, they earned the distinction of being named among the “40 Under 40 Business Leaders 2023” by the Colorado LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce.**

Andy Schumacher, Chief Operations Officer

Andy Schumacher serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Citrine & Gold Financial Services, bringing a unique blend of expertise and leadership to the organization. Their journey is punctuated by recognition as a Top 25 Young Professionals by ColoradoBiz Magazine in 2021*** and a spot among Colorado’s top young leaders as part of the “40 Under 40 Business Leaders” in 2022 by the Colorado LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce.**

As a founding board member of the Queer Business Alliance 501(c)3 non-profit, they actively contribute to fostering inclusivity and empowerment within the LGBTQ+ entrepreneurial community.

With a decade of experience in marketing and business – having previously owned and operated a branding, website, and marketing agency – they bring a wealth of knowledge to Citrine & Gold Financial Services, specializing in operations, marketing, and client experience.

Andy’s top goal in life is to live an extraordinary life, and to inspire others to do the same.

Requirements for Designations and Exams*

The Series 6, 7, 63, 65, 6, and Life & Health certifications are professional credentials in the financial industry, each with specific requirements and purposes.

Series 6 License:
  • Purpose: Qualifies individuals to sell investment company products and variable contracts.
  • Requirements: Passing the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 6 exam, which covers topics such as investment company products, variable contracts, and state regulations.

Series 7 License

  • Purpose: Qualifies individuals to sell a broad range of securities products, including corporate securities, municipal securities, options, direct participation programs, investment company products, and variable contracts.
  • Requirements: Passing the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 exam, known as the General Securities Representative Qualification Examination, which assesses knowledge in areas such as investment risk, taxation, equity and debt instruments, packaged securities, options, and retirement plans. Candidates must also pass the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam and be sponsored by a FINRA member firm or self-regulatory organization (SRO).

Series 63 License:
  • Purpose: Enables individuals to solicit orders for any type of security in a particular state.
  • Requirements: Passing the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) Series 63 exam, focusing on state securities regulations and laws.

Series 65 License:
  • Purpose: Permits individuals to act as investment adviser representatives, providing investment advice for a fee.
  • Requirements: Passing the NASAA Series 65 exam, which covers topics like economic factors, investment vehicle characteristics, and laws and regulations.

Series 6 vs. Series 65:
  • Series 6: Allows the sale of mutual funds, variable annuities, and insurance premiums.
  • Series 65: Permits providing investment advice for a fee but does not authorize the sale of securities.
 
Life & Health Insurance License:
  • Purpose: Authorizes individuals to sell life and health insurance products.
  • Requirements: Passing state-specific exams covering insurance laws, policies, and ethics.
